(07.24.2009) Elkin, North Carolina - The FASTRAK Crate Late Model Touring Series would invade the American Speed Associaiton sanctioned Friendship Motor Speedway this week for event number fifteen of the season. This week would show off the talents of some of the finest dirt track drivers from the south east as the weather would be just right and the track would show off the tremendous efforts of the speedway staff once again as it would hold smooth all through the event. This week featured the special FASTRAK $2000.00 To-Win Crate Late Models along with four of our regular divisions known as the Southeastern Cars & Parts Limited Sportsman, Coffee House Waffle Shop Four Cylinders, JC Racing & Fabrication Renegade V-8, and the Hill Top Trading Post Donald's Automotive U-Car division.

In the special FASTRAK $2000.00 To-Win Crate Late Model event, Royce Bray would visit the four tenth mile bullring this week as he would take time trials by storm while claiming the best starting position. Bray would lead early over Donald Bradsher. Royce Bray would lead all forty laps of the main event to roll into the Neighbors Stores/100.9 WIFM victory lane claiming that big prize money and nice five foot trophy. In the Southeastern Cars & Parts Limited Sportsman race, "Flyin" Brain Nance would roll up yet wnother victory now claiming four wins in a row. Richard Clew would give it a strong run this week while trying to get by Nance but it would not be as he would finish second. Daniel Moss would pick up some much needed points this week as he would finish third only one spot ahead of points leader Jeff Parsons in fourth. Shawn Robinson would bring it home in fifth.

In the Coffee House Waffle Shop Four Cylinders, Tommy Zachary would take his black machine to the front once again for back to back wins while holding off a strong Evan Benton who would finish in second. Billy Robbins who was in a heck of a battle with Benton would settle for third but would retain his points lead over Kevin Atwell. Tobby Jones would finish in fourth while Junior Welborn would round out the top five. Kevin Atwell would finish in sixth.

In the JC Racing & Fabrication Renegade V-8 division, an all out three way battle would take place between points leader Jeff Parsons, Jason Donahue, and Derek Mastin. As the green flag would drop it would be the black machine of Derek Mastin getting out to an early lead over Jeff Parsons. Parsons would put up a battle and take the lead after Mastin would have mechanical woes and be done for the night. This would leave a two way battle between Parsons and Jason Donahue. Donahue would spin with three laps to go. This would make for a exciting finish as Jason Donahue would make a run and get by to hold on for his first win of the year. Jeff Parsons would grab the runner up position while Derek Mastin would end up in third.

In the Hill Top Trading Post Donald's Automotive U-Car feature, "Stroker Ace, Jr." Matthew Nance would carry on the family tradition of winning dirt track races while he would roll up his first win after just three starts. His first two were back to back second place runs. This win would come after a door to door battle with Travis Turner who lead most of the event but would settle for second when it was all said and done. Points leader Stephanine Clew would have yet another consistant good run in third while driving "The New Old Rusty" machine.
